An exploration in texture.

I love texture. When I walk into a fabric store my eyes lead me to the colors but my hands have to touch and feel. I love the process of making. Standing back and looking at the finished project doesn’t give me as much joy as the hours and days spent working on the piece.

I have been sewing since I was ten years old and begged my mom to show me how to sew a peasant dress. From there I sewed all my clothes through my years in school. I continued to sew on and off, especially when I needed something that fit better than store bought clothes. I quilted for about 20 years while I worked full time as a teacher. Once I retired, I decided to go back to fiber and try my creative hand at making what was in my brain.
